Position Title: Chef Location: Liverpool, NSW Employment Type: Full-Time (38 hours per week) Salary Range: $76,515 – $85,000 per annum superannuation Seeking an experienced Chef to join our team at Hello Moose Cafe. We are a busy, family friendly cafe with an international inspired menu ( middle eastern, Turkish and Australian). The successful candidate will work within our commercial kitchen to prepare high-quality meals while maintaining efficiency, consistency, and high food safety standards. Key Duties & Responsibilities Plan and design menus in line with business concept, seasonal availability, and customer demand. Prepare, cook and present high-quality dishes consistently to established standards. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes across breakfast, lunch and catering service. Monitor portion control and presentation standards to minimise waste and maintain quality. Estimate food and labour costs and assist with stock control and ordering supplies. Select, train and supervise kitchen staff, including apprentices and kitchen hands. Ensure compliance with food safety standards, WHS regulations, and hygiene requirements. Inspect food preparation and storage areas to maintain cleanliness and safety standards. Manage kitchen operations during service, ensuring efficiency and timely delivery of meals. Adapt menus to meet dietary requirements and special customer requests. Maintain supplier relationships and ensure quality of raw ingredients. Contribute to new recipe development and seasonal menu updates. Experience & Skills: Minimum 2 years full-time experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen Sound understanding of HACCP and food safety compliance Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings Ability to work effectively as part of a team Desirable Qualifications (not mandatory): Certificate III and IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent Certificate IV in Kitchen Management Diploma of Hospitality Management Experience in menu development, food cost control or stock ordering What We Offer: Stable full-time employment Supportive team environment Opportunities to grow How to Apply: Please send your resume to: hellomoose88@gmail.com
