We are currently seeking compassionate, reliable, and proactive Disabled Care Workers to join our growing team. Minimum requirement Minimum of 3 years of experience in disability support, aged care, or community services. Cert IV or Diploma in Disability, Individual Support, or equivalent. Current First Aid and CPR Certificate. NDIS Worker Screening Check. Working With Children Check. Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle. Ability to use technology for reporting and rostering. Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays. Roles and Responsibilities Accompanying disabled persons during daily activities in various environments to help them improve their independence, achieve their goals and support their choice and control. Assisting clients with their mobility in a range of personal activities, including hygiene care, use of manual handling equipment, medication administration, domestic assistance, and assistance with meals. Preparing food for clients, performing housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming and cleaning. Arranging social activities, providing companionship, friendship and emotional support Assisting in personal hygiene and dressing. Assist with shopping and run errands for clients. Support people within both group settings and 1-on-1 arrangements. Assist participants with a range of personal activities, including hygiene care, use of manual handling equipment, medication administration, domestic assistance, and assistance with meals. Use your own initiative to assist clients to work towards their goals and follow specific care plans and positive behavior support plans (PBSP) and record observations in individual care notes You will be someone that is engaging and will have amazing skills in motivating others including strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively with a range of people in a variety of situations Skills & Qualities Required: You are compassionate, empathetic, respectful and non-judgmental with strong listening and verbal communication skills and the ability to cope well under pressure.
