This role would be well suited to an experienced and innovative engineer that is keen to apply good design principles and see the results of their work. Key responsibilities & duties 1. Provide technical input, calculations, reports, and construction documentation in line with Firecorp’s standards, codes, and legislative requirements. 2. Establish standards for installation, quality control, testing, inspection and maintenance, according to Building Code of Australia (BCA) and Fire Safety Manual (FSM). 3. Deliver projects to a high standard, on time and within budget, supervise contract work, Property Assessment Survey (PAS), Annual Compliance Assessment (ACA) and inspect Building Essential Services (BES). 4. Liaise with clients, authorities, and project teams to maintain strong relationships and clear, consistent communication. 5. Lead projects as required, monitoring budgets, timelines, deliverables, inventory records, and team performance. 6. Contribute to tenders, proposals, and consulting submissions in support of business growth. 7. Share technical expertise with colleagues, mentor junior staff, and stay current with new technologies and industry standards. 8. Manage Work Health Safety (WHS) on site and undertake site specific safety inductions, ensuring all site personals carry out work according to Safe Work Method Statements (SWMSs). 9. Resolve technical issues in a clear and concise manner. Academic or trade qualifications -Degree level or higher qualification in Civil Engineer or related engineering degree -Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a similar role -Advanced experience with 3D modelling package -Functional experience with Property Assessment Survey (PAS), Annual Compliance Assessment (ACA) and Building Essential Service (BES) -Demonstrated experience in effective supervision, monitoring of sub-contractors and other trades.
