About the role This position is the first point of contact for People & Culture enquiries and provides high‑quality administrative and operational support. You will work closely within the internal People & Culture team and collaborate with teams across Council to support effective service delivery. On a daily basis you will: Maintain accurate, confidential employee records across HR and payroll systems, ensuring all transactions and data meet legislative, industrial, and Council requirements. Conduct and monitor employee eligibility, licence, compliance checks, and manage expirations for licences, working arrangements, and fixed‑term contracts. Process HR system transactions and prepare employment documentation, including contracts, variations, and employment change confirmations, with accuracy and timeliness. Manage centralised People & Culture mailboxes and Help Desk requests, providing professional support to managers and stakeholders within agreed service levels. Maintain SOPs, registers, and databases; support HR projects, committees, and reward initiatives; and contribute to data cleansing and peak‑period administrative support. About You You are customer‑focused, detail‑oriented, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced, multi‑disciplinary environment. Your strong communication skills enable you to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders. You will also bring the following essential requirements : Certificate IV in Human Resources, Business, or Administration (or equivalent experience) Confidence in learning and using HR systems (Oracle HCM or similar) Experience in a comparable administrative or HR support role Ability to follow and apply guidelines based on policy and procedural requirements Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a high‑volume environment Demonstrated discretion and sensitivity when handling confidential employee information Ability to work collaboratively within a multi‑disciplinary team and support colleagues through cross‑skilling and shared workloads What’s on offer We are offering a full-time term contract for up to 12 months, ending 16 March 2027, with an attractive remuneration from $82,692.71 to $91,067.29 plus 12% superannuation.
