Associate Electrical Engineer Building Services | Sydney Join a high-performing Building Services team delivering some of the most complex and high-profile projects across Sydney and Australia. We are looking for an experienced Associate Electrical Engineer to play a key role in leading design delivery, mentoring engineers, and strengthening client relationships across a diverse portfolio. This is a leadership role suited to someone with around 10-12 years' experience who enjoys both technical excellence and team development. The opportunity As an Associate Electrical Engineer, you will contribute at both a project and team level, working across multidisciplinary projects within the built environment. You will take ownership of design outcomes, lead engagements with clients, and support the growth of the team and broader business. Key responsibilities Lead the electrical design and coordination of building services projects from concept through to delivery Provide high level technical input across a range of complex multidisciplinary projects Manage project delivery, including programme, budget and quality outcomes Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and internal teams Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers, supporting capability uplift Contribute to business development, including proposals, client engagement and market presence Support the strategic growth of the Building Services team locally About you Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering Around 10-12 years' experience within Building Services, ideally in a consulting environment Proven experience delivering electrical design across sectors such as commercial, health, education, defence, infrastructure or large mixed-use developments Strong understanding of Australian standards, codes and local regulations Demonstrated experience leading projects and managing stakeholders Ability to mentor and guide engineers, contributing to a collaborative team culture Chartered status or working towards CPEng (or equivalent) Why join Work on a strong pipeline of technically challenging and design-led projects Be part of a collaborative national Building Services network Clear progression pathway to senior leadership roles Flexible and hybrid working options A culture that values innovation, technical excellence and people development If you are looking to step into a role where you can influence both project outcomes and team growth, we would love to hear from you.
