About the Roles The Underground Production Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, monitoring and optimising underground coal production activities to ensure safe, efficient and compliant execution of the mine plan. The role works closely with statutory officials, supervisors, contractors and technical services to achieve production targets while maintaining compliance with Queensland coal mining legislation, site Safety & Health Management System (SHMS) and operational standards. Key accountabilities include: Coordinate daily and weekly underground production activities in line with the approved mine plan. Monitor production performance, equipment utilisation and workforce deployment. Identify production constraints and work collaboratively to implement practical solutions. Track and report production metrics including tonnes, delays, equipment availability and downtime. Prepare accurate shift, daily and weekly production reports. Promote and actively support a strong safety and health culture in line with the Coal Mining Safety & Health Act and Regulations. Ensure all production activities are conducted in accordance with the site SHMS, SOPs and Principal Hazard Management Plans (PHMPs). Participate in risk assessments, JHAs, incident investigations and corrective action tracking. Support statutory officials in maintaining legal compliance and reporting obligations. The successful candidates will have the following: S1, S2, S3 and G2 competencies or equivalent ERZC Competency (Desirable). Proven experience in a similar role in an underground mining environment. Ability to influence others to improve performance. Ability to facilitate and lead discussions in team meetings. Demonstrated commitment to a high-performing safety culture.
