About the role We are looking for Trainer and Assessors who are passionate about passing their knowledge along to students. If you are experienced in any of the following courses, this might be the right role for you! Courses include: Cert III and IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care, Cert IV and Diploma of AOD, Cert IV and Diploma of Mental Health, Diploma of Community Services, and Diploma of Counselling. Your role is to empower students to complete their studies for their vocational enhancements, and Community in a self-determining way, through educational planning, delivery and assessment. You will do this by applying your knowledge of your course content and your understanding of cultural sensitivities while working with a diverse group of people with differing capabilities. Essential skills/experiences To be successful in this role, you will be a competent and confident Trainer and Assessor who can provide culturally safe training. We are looking for someone who : Has a Certificate IV or higher-level qualification in Training and Assessment. Evidence of an equal or higher-level qualification in the course/s you will be delivering. Has prior experience delivering adult education to Aboriginal individuals and groups. Applies cultural safety to education delivery. Is knowledge about packaging rules and assessment requirements for accredited qualifications. Desirable Experience working in the Aboriginal Community Controlled Sector. Experience working in the Not-for-profit sector .
