Description The Role As a Lead Chef you will manage and oversee the Galley operations in an efficient and effective manner. Previous experience as a Head or Senior Sous Chef with leadership abilities. Managing kitchen teams while fostering a collaborative and positive team environment. What you will bring to us At least 5 years experience within a commercial kitchen. Ensuring the timely delivery of quality meals to guests and crew as per the menu plan. High level of customer service and take great pride and passion for the guest dining experience. Experience in day to day running of a kitchen/galley. Including rosters, reporting and stocktakes. Understanding of food cost and portion control. Maintain product quality, presentation, food safety and consistency. Demonstrated safe working practices mindset. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Tolerance of others to work and live in a small environment for long periods of time. Excellent personal presentation. What we can offer you Shipboard rosters are generally 3-4 weeks on and 3-4 weeks off. This will vary with international itineraries being 6 weeks on and 6 weeks off.
