Due to continued growth, we are seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our expanding team. About the Role We have opportunities available across: Workshop positions Onsite maintenance roles Field service positions Key Responsibilities Strip, repair and rebuild mechanical equipment Replace bearings, shafts and motors Perform precision machine alignments Attend breakdowns and complete scheduled maintenance Carry out basic welding (MIG, ARC, TIG - highly regarded) Perform basic machining (lathe and mill) Work with pneumatics and hydraulic systems Skills & Experience Minimum 6 years' experience as a Mechanical Fitter (essential) Trade qualification (highly regarded) Experience within meat processing or heavy industrial environments (advantage) Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability Sound mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Basic computer skills (highly regarded) Strong commitment to safety Good communication skills and ability to work independently Requirements Full driver's licence Forklift licence Ability to obtain boom lift, scissor lift and other high-risk licences What's On Offer Competitive hourly rates based on experience Ongoing work with a reputable national company Exposure to diverse sites and machinery Long-term opportunities for the right candidates
