The Business Performance Academy (BPA) creates, facilitates and delivers transformational learning experiences, structured and tailored development pathways, and immersive, future‑focused content, across the Business & Wealth division. We are on a journey to becoming a world-class Banker training Academy, with a clear vision and strategy on how to get there. To help drive our strategy, we are looking for an energetic and driven leader of leaders. A leader who will be a trusted partner to senior stakeholders—turning strategy into action by leading a large team, designing and delivering high impact learning experiences, that build enduring capability at scale. What is the Role? You will grow a high performing team, and modernise how we learn—bringing innovation, discipline, and momentum to the way capability is built and delivered across the Academy, and setting the standard for impact across the division. Key Responsibilities: Understand the divisional business and people strategy and objectives Develop a strategic roadmap to lift capability, and support delivery of the divisional business & people strategy Execute the strategic roadmap with phased delivery of learning initiatives approved by business leaders Partner with business leaders to build a culture which values professional development Lead a high performing team to execute at speed, on the ongoing capability requirements across the division Work with internal and external partners to design and deliver new and ongoing capability & learning requirements for the division Lead the continuous improvement and evolution of the BPA team and it’s offerings What do I need? To be successful in this role you will have: Extensive prior banking experience, underpinned by strong frontline exposure across all segments (Commercial, SME/SB, R&A, Private Wealth, Specialist Sales, Pacific). Demonstrated success in leading and developing leaders at scale Proven ability to develop and deliver capability uplift roadmaps aligned to strategic priorities Strong focus on delivery/outcomes – you will be expected to deliver tangible outcomes at speed Strong negotiating and influencing skills, including the ability to deliver results across cross functional teams outside your direct reporting lines Ability to operate across and coordinate multiple priorities Strong people leadership capability, and able to drive robust team engagement If you are excited by the opportunity above, are a hands-on leader who takes ownership, and can cut through complexity to deliver outcomes within set timeframes, then we’d love to hear from you.
