Job Description Position Title: Commercial Accountant Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time Location: Bella Vista, Sydney (must be open to working onsite in Canberra for the first 3 months) Annual salary: $125,000 - $135,000 per annum plus 12% super Travel arrangements: Candidate must work onsite in Canberra for first three months. $1,250 per week for the initial 3 month period will be provided by Elite Supplements to cover travel expenses. ABOUT THE ROLE We’re thrilled to be recruiting for Elite Supplements - a nationally recognised leader in the health and fitness industry - for a commercially minded Commercial Accountant. Elite Supplements' HQ is currently located in Canberra, with a new warehouse set to open in 12-15 months in Bella Vista. This role is management accounting-led, focusing on P&L ownership, variance analysis, and delivering actionable financial insights to leadership. You will operate in a fast-paced, lean team environment where processes are still evolving—you’ll be expected to build, improve, and streamline systems while contributing to the broader finance transformation. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead month-end close processes across multiple entities, including journals, reconciliations, accruals, and management reporting Provide commercial insights through P&L analysis, variance commentary, and forward-looking financial visibility Partner with retail, wholesale, eCommerce, and operational teams to improve cost allocation, margin analysis, and channel-level reporting Maintain balance sheet integrity, including reconciliations, intercompany accounts, fixed asset registers, and sales clearing accounts Ensure GST/BAS compliance, support tax reconciliations, and assist with external audits Identify and implement process improvements to streamline reporting, automate workflows, and enhance accuracy Operate effectively in a high-volume, multi-entity environment, balancing detail with commercial judgement SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Essential: CA or CPA qualified, or actively progressing toward completion 3 years of accounting experience, ideally in multi-entity or group environments Strong management accounting capabilities: P&L ownership, variance analysis, and commercial reporting Solid balance sheet fundamentals, including reconciliations, accruals, and intercompany accounts Month-end close experience and ability to meet tight deadlines Process-builder mindset and ability to implement systems and workflows from scratch High execution speed and adaptability in a fast-moving environment Desirable: Experience with Xero, Cin7, or similar multi-platform accounting systems Experience supporting external audits Interest in a broader commercial finance career pathway Apply now or contact Angel Malkovich on 6260 8888 for a confidential discussion.
