The client is a fast-growing technology company delivering automation and AI solutions across Australia. They are looking for an RPA Lead, on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract, with the potential to permanent, who is a strong hands-on developer ready to step into a solution architect pathway . This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading RPA and AI projects , mentoring junior developers, and working closely with clients. You’ll have the chance to work on greenfield AI initiatives, PoCs, and innovative automation solutions , while developing your skills in architecture and client engagement. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and delivery of RPA and AI solutions (UiPath, Power Automate, AI/ML). Mentor junior developers, ensuring high-quality, scalable outcomes. Collaborate with clients to understand requirements and simplify technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders . Drive proof-of-concept (PoC) initiatives for AI and automation projects. Gradually take on solution architecture responsibilities , contributing to technical strategy and client solutions. What You Need Strong hands-on experience in RPA, AI, or automation development , delivering high-quality solutions. Experience leading or mentoring development teams and providing technical guidance. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to simplify complex technical concepts for clients and stakeholders . Hands-on experience with UiPath, Power Automate, or equivalent RPA platforms , and familiarity with AI/ML tools and frameworks. Exposure to solution architecture or enterprise-level system design, or a clear interest in growing into architecture . Comfortable working in a fast-paced, small-team environment , taking initiative and managing multiple priorities. Curiosity and enthusiasm for exploring emerging technologies , contributing to PoCs, and delivering innovative solutions. Experience with cloud-native environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) and software design best practices (microservices, API-first, modular systems) is a plus. Previous experience in client-facing technical roles , workshops, or solution delivery is advantageous.
