THE ROLE Working in the Child Safety Reform Implementation Branch, this position will support transformational change, driving the government's child safety reform agenda and shaping the future direction of the Social Services Regulator (SSR). On 20 August 2025, the Victorian Government announced a Child Safety Overhaul, which included accepting all 22 recommendations of an independent Rapid Child Safety Review. As part of the overhaul, Government announced changes to the Social Services Regulator which includes bringing the Working with Children Check (WWCC), the Reportable Conduct Scheme and Child Safe Standards under one roof. You will use your exceptional policy development, project support, stakeholder engagement and systems thinking skills to support the strategic implementation of operational policies, projects and regulatory strategies relative to the reforms. This role will require you to be adaptable and flexible to meet the needs of a dynamic environment where engagement across the organisation and multiple regulatory schemes is critical. ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE Provide analysis and advice that contributes to the development, coordination and implementation of child safety reforms. Provide clear, timely, accurate, succinct and solution-focused written and verbal briefings, correspondence and reports regarding matters of strategic and operational importance to the Social Services Regulator. Support project planning and delivery, implementation and reporting of identified priority strategic policy projects, including developing options and recommendations to support the delivery of projects.
