About the role The role is responsible for delivering the day‑to‑day tax compliance activities for Ampol, covering areas such as income tax, excise, GST and other indirect taxes. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our tax obligations are met accurately and on time. You will also support Ampol’s broader strategic goals by contributing to high‑quality tax advice and actively participating in Group Tax projects and continuous improvement initiatives—helping to strengthen our tax function and support business performance. Key responsibilities: Deliver accurate, timely tax compliance and analysis across GST, income tax, excise, tax effect accounting, withholding tax and franking accounts. Build strong subject‑matter expertise in core tax areas, interpreting tax law and supporting Tax Advisors with ad‑hoc technical advice. Use automation, RPA, AI and other technologies to streamline and improve tax processes. Maintain and enhance tax procedures and controls to ensure full regulatory compliance. Work closely with finance and business teams to gather information and support high‑quality tax outcomes. Identify and help implement process and system improvements in response to legislative, regulatory or business changes. Qualifications Tertiary qualification in Accounting/Tax Relevant CA/CPA qualifications and equivalent Tax postgraduate study Minimum 2-4 years in a tax/accounting based role in a large organisation or Chartered Accounting firm Our Benefits Our total remuneration is competitive.
