About the Role: Meal Preparation & Cooking: Preparing, cooking, and plating meals for residents, including special functions. Special Dietary Requirements: Catering to dietary needs and texture-modified diets with care. Menu Planning: Supporting menu development based on resident preferences and nutritional guidelines. Food Safety & Hygiene: Adhering to high standards of cleanliness and food safety (HACCP principles). Stock & Supply Management: Efficiently managing kitchen supplies and ordering stock as needed. Collaboration: Working closely with the hospitality and care teams to deliver smooth service. Documentation: Ensuring all food safety and care records are accurately maintained for accreditation compliance. What We’re Looking For: Essential: Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Cook. A recognised trade qualification in cooking or hospitality. Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP principles. National Police Check (or willingness to obtain). Strong teamwork skills and a resident-focused approach. Commitment to service excellence and safety in aged care. Desirable: Experience in aged care, health, or institutional kitchens. Italian language skills. Understanding of aged care accreditation and continuous improvement. HACCP or Food Safety Supervisor certification.
