We're partnering with a large, complex organisation to find a Senior Google Workspace Engineer who will take true ownership of the platform - not just keeping it running, but shaping how it's used, secured, and evolved . This role sits at the centre of collaboration and communication. You'll look at how Google Workspace is run today, identify opportunities to do it better, and help the organisation fully exploit what the platform is capable of - for staff, students, and customers. What you'll be responsible for Acting as the technical owner of Google Workspace across a large, multi‑domain environment Managing and optimising Gmail, SMTP and email delivery , including troubleshooting complex mail‑flow issues Designing, improving and governing SPF, DKIM and DMARC records to strengthen email trust and deliverability Owning the email platform end‑to‑end , including L3 escalation, incident response and root‑cause analysis Reviewing and adopting Google Workspace features (security, compliance, admin controls) and turning them into usable services Assessing vendor‑initiated updates, managing change, and building rollout/rollback plans Improving security posture across Workspace (DLP, data sharing controls, Vault, access policies) Partnering with cyber security, identity and platform teams to translate risk into practical controls Producing clear documentation, standards and guidance to support consistent platform use Advising stakeholders on how Google Workspace can be used more effectively across the organisation What you'll bring Demonstrated experience as a Google Workspace Administrator in a large or complex environment Strong hands‑on knowledge of Gmail mail‑flow, SMTP, SPF, DKIM and DMARC Experience improving email deliverability, reducing spoofing/phishing and managing third‑party senders Confidence owning platform changes, assessing risk, and communicating impact A security‑first mindset with the ability to turn policy into configuration Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to act as a senior escalation point Clear communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders Why this role stands out Genuine platform ownership - not just operations Opportunity to shape how Google Workspace is used across the organisation Highly visible work with measurable outcomes in security, reliability and user experience Collaborative, mature technical environment If you wish to apply for this position, please submit your resume by clicking the 'Apply Now' button.
