Job Description Agilent is seeking a skilled and curious Technical Writer to join our Atomic, Molecular, and Raman Spectroscopy division. In this role, you will develop clear, engaging, and user‑focused documentation that empowers our customers to understand, operate, and maintain Agilent products with confidence. Your work will directly support customer self‑service, product adoption, and successful long‑term operation. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams—including product marketing, R&D, quality, manufacturing, and external vendors—to deliver high‑quality printed and digital documentation. This role is ideal for someone who can translate complex scientific and technical concepts into intuitive, accessible learning content. Key Responsibilities: Research, plan, organize and develop user documentation including manuals, getting started guides, software help, tutorials, and video demonstrations Collaborate with other teams to clarify technical issues, and liaise with subject matter experts to understand the technology and applications for which documentation is to be prepared Analyze user needs and organize information according to those needs Write, edit and present clear and concise information according to set standards regarding order, clarity, style, and terminology Maintain ownership and management of technical documentation version control and customer accessibility Work with translators and other external agencies as required Manage multiple projects simultaneously, often to tight timeframes Maintain close contact with other Agilent groups and departments worldwide Qualifications Job Qualifications: Required: HTML is essential. Web applications such as Adobe Dreamweaver or RoboHelp ; experience with CSS Demonstrated minimum 5 years experience in writing technical user documentation. BA/BS in Chemistry, Physics, Biochemistry, Engineering, or equivalent experience. Strong computer literacy, including: Microsoft Office Suite, including use of Microsoft Word templates. Desktop publishing tools such as Adobe FrameMaker and Adobe Creative Suite . Experience with video‑editing applications including Adobe Premiere Pro , TechSmith Camtasia , and Articulate Storyline . Excellent project‑management skills with the ability to plan, organize, and execute work with minimal supervision. Highly detail‑oriented and able to meet deadlines consistently. Strong work ethic, professionalism, organizational skills, and follow‑through. Native English speaker or proven excellence in written and spoken English. Preferred: Knowledge of spectroscopy techniques such as AA , ICP‑OES, Raman, FTIR , and UV‑Vis . Experience with scientific instrumentation, laboratory environments, or spectroscopy products. Additional Details This job has a full time weekly schedule. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
