With a booming, culturally rich and diverse community, and less than an hourâs drive from the CBD (still within the bounds of Myki and ride-sharing), Melbourneâs North is fast becoming the place to be.   Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Clinical Research Professionals to join the team at the Pathology Team.  Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourneâs rapidly growing outer north.  Services are provided through our six main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.  About the Role: This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinical research professional to support pathology-related components of clinical trials and research projects across Diagnostic Services and NECTAR.  This role is responsible for assessing clinical trials with respect to support required from pathology, preparing relevant quotes and ensuring appropriate pathology billing, as well as helping other research services such as biobanking. The role is also involved in the conduct of NECTAR/Diagnostic Services-related research projects (including clinical trials, investigator-led research and grant management).  To be successful in this role you will have: Experience and good working knowledge of the appropriate competencies and skills for clinical trial and research coordination including ethics and governance processes, regulatory compliance and management of both commercial and investigator-initiated studies Proven ability to review clinical trial protocols with respect to pathology requirements, laboratory workflows, testing methodologies, MBS billing implications, and operational feasibility. Demonstrated experience in managing clinical trials and investigator-initiated studies including ethics/governance documentation, participant coordination, data collection, sample processing, biobanking, protocol adherence and monitoring. Well-developed organisational and timeâmanagement skills , with the ability to prioritise multiple competing deadlines, maintain accuracy, and deliver highâquality outputs within required timeframes.
