Position: Systems Engineer Location: Perth, NOR Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 super perks Job Type: Permanent, Full Time Position Overview We're seeking a Systems Engineer to join a dynamic and growing team based in Perth. This role involves a mix of remote and on-site support, where you'll be the escalation point for technical issues and get involved with projects. You'll work with a diverse range of clients across different industries, from small start-ups to large corporate and government organizations, making this an exciting opportunity to expand your technical expertise. Company laptop & mobile provided. Large team. Role Responsibilities Act as an escalation point for Level 1 and Level 2 support engineers. Provide remote & on-site support for hardware, software, and network issues. Diagnose and resolve Windows Server & Microsoft 365 issues. Troubleshoot networking issues (firewalls, VPNs, switches, routers). Maintain accurate IT documentation & knowledge base. Identify & implement best IT practices. Manage service desk tickets using professional service automation (PSA) tools. Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues. Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP troubleshooting. Disaster Backup and Recovery experience (VEEAM, StorageCraft, Shadow Protect). Experience working with VoIP & 3CX. Hardware experience (Dell, Lenovo, Microsoft, HP). Opportunity to get involved with projects on an ad hoc basis. Leverage automation tools such as Power Automate and PowerShell scripting to streamline repetitive tasks, reduce manual effort, and improve service delivery across client environments. Build and maintain automated workflows within Microsoft 365 to support onboarding/offboarding, user provisioning, and licence management. Contribute to the development of automation-driven monitoring and alerting through RMM platforms, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact clients. Technical Requirements Microsoft Server products. Server Virtualisation (ESX & Hyper-V). Microsoft Exchange & Office 365. Backup & Recovery (VEEAM & StorageCraft). Firewalls, routers, and switches. VoIP Systems (3CX). Exposure to automation tooling — PowerShell scripting, Power Automate, or RMM-based automation (e.g. ConnectWise Automate, NinjaRMM) highly regarded.
