This position is responsible for overseeing the engineering works of subdivisions. SUBDIVISION SITE ENGINEER SOUTH OF THE RIVER IMMEDIATE START - 2 MONTH CONTRACT MON-FRI $67.69 per hour 76 DAY FORTNIGHT Duties: Ensure all engineering works are conducted in accordance with specifications and standards for subdivisions and developments. Ensure that timely responses are provided for all development application approvals. Assess development applications and engineering drawings for civil infrastructure to ensure compliance with relevant policies Assess water management documents for developments Undertakes regular site supervision of works at designated hold points and final inspection of civil infrastructure Undertakes field surveillance and infrastructure compliance duties. Co-ordinates the verification, capture and storage of Quality Assurance and 'As Constructed' records for subdivisional works. WHS Responsibility Take appropriate action to maintain the health and safety of self, other employees, workers and visitors. Report hazards, incidents and accidents promptly, in accordance with procedure and takes part in investigation as necessary. Participate in workplace risk assessments and the identification and control of hazards. Essential Criteria Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related field. 2 Minimum 3 years' experience in civil engineering design, construction and managing subdivision works. Demonstrated experience in the assessment of subdivision and development applications and assessment of water management strategies Working knowledge of design, construction, operation and maintenance principles for infrastructure, facilities and services. Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of: Urban water management design principles and practices, specifically in the context of new development requirements Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills which enable high level of problem solving, negotiation and dispute resolution skills Current 'C' class driver's licence.
