This translation process aims to bridge the gap between basic research and real-world clinical practice to generate meaningful, community impact. Translational Research Institute (TRI) is the largest of its kind in the Southern hemisphere TRI was born from the desire to bring collaboration to science and directly impact the translation of research and innovation into improved healthcare. TRI is a world-class purpose-built facility that began operating in 2012 with Emeritus Professor Ian Frazer AC, co-founder of the Gardasil cervical cancer vaccine, as inaugural CEO. TRI’s architecturally designed award-winning building houses more than 1000 researchers, clinicians, and industry partners.
