Description About the role We are seeking a senior compliance professional in our Brisbane office to lead a project to enhance QIC’s privacy, records and data compliance domains on a 12-month contract. You will design and lead an uplift program that is risk-based and tailored to QIC’s complex multijurisdictional operations, whilst partnering closely with key stakeholders to successfully deliver transformative initiatives and embed a strong compliance culture. Key responsibilities: Develop a roadmap and manage end to end delivery of a project to enhance frameworks, programs, controls, and systems enabling QIC to meet its privacy, records and data-related compliance obligations in Australia, the US, UK, EU and Singapore. Identify and integrate privacy, records and data-related risk considerations into decision-making and operational practices. Liaise with privacy regulators and domestic and foreign legal counsel with respect to privacy, records and data-related issues. Develop effective data analytics and reporting on compliance obligations. Provide proactive and trusted advice to internal stakeholders across our Australian and international offices to ensure regulatory and compliance-related risks are well understood and managed. About you You are an accomplished compliance professional with previous experience leading compliance uplift projects. You bring: Extensive experience in a similar role, ideally within another large and complex multijurisdictional organisation. Proven end to end project management capability, with experience leading a complex privacy, records and data-related uplift program involving policy, standards, process, technology and people. Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing capability, with demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships and embed a strong compliance culture. Strong business acumen, including the ability to develop a deep and practical understanding of complex business models, operating environments and strategic priorities and to tailor risk-based compliance solutions which are proportionate to the nature, scale and risk profile of the business. A strong understanding of global privacy, records and data-related laws, regulations and industry best-practices. Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify, analyse and proactively resolve problems that impact QIC’s risk and compliance obligations. Excellent training, verbal and written communication skills.
