About the Position As Marketing Officer at St Hilda's School, you will play a vital role in bringing our School's story to life across a wide range of platforms and channels. Working closely with the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for creating and curating compelling content that reflects the warmth, values, and excellence of the St Hilda's Way — from social media posts and event collateral to newsletters, publications, and the Ammonite Yearbook. You will bring both creative flair and technical skill to the role, with hands-on experience in design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and Figma, as well as the ability to capture and edit photo and video content at school events. Beyond content creation, you will contribute to the smooth running of the Marketing team by managing workflows, coordinating publications, assisting in maintaining our digital presence, and ensuring all activity meets privacy, safeguarding, and brand compliance requirements. This is a dynamic, hands-on role suited to a motivated marketing professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in producing high-quality work, and is genuinely passionate about celebrating the achievements and spirit of a vibrant girls' school community. Selection Criteria: Ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines with strong administration abilities Exceptional attention to detail in written content and visual formatting Strong copywriting and editing skills, with the ability to adopt and uphold the St Hilda’s School brand tone and voice Photography and filming skills or willing to develop Understanding of user experience and graphic design principles for digital and print communications Strong visual discernment (spacing, layout, hierarchy, and imagery selection) Understands platform-specific tone, permission and privacy requirements and child-safe content guidelines Proficiency in tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or Final Cut Pro Experience in creating compelling and on-brand social media content across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn Experience using social media management tools and an understanding of current social media trends and best practices.
