The Department The Corporate Strategy team plays a central role in shaping SBS’s long-term direction. The team partners across Divisions to design, deliver and track the organisation’s Strategic Plan, ensuring alignment with the SBS Charter, Vision and Values. Through enterprise-wide analysis, business performance reporting and thought leadership, Corporate Strategy helps SBS remain agile, audience-focused and competitive in a rapidly evolving media landscape. The Role Reporting to the Head of Corporate Strategy and Innovation, the Strategy Manager will play a critical role in supporting the design and delivery of SBS’s Strategic Plan. This role combines rigorous analysis with innovative thinking to drive actionable insights, inform executive decision-making and ensure SBS remains responsive to audience, market and industry shifts. Key responsibilities include: Leading components of the annual strategic planning process, including development of enterprise and Business Unit plans Delivering high-quality business performance reporting, including Board-ready materials and executive insights Conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis across financial, audience, market, competitor, risk and opportunity data Developing thought leadership pieces and strategic initiatives that inform long-term positioning and sector impact Engaging and influencing stakeholders across Divisions to gather insights, align priorities and support strategic execution About you We’re looking for someone who brings: A proven background in corporate strategy, consulting, commercial analysis or a related field within a large, complex organisation Demonstrated success analysing and synthesising complex data sets into clear, actionable insights (experience with tools such as Tableau, Snowflake, Adobe Analytics or similar BI platforms is advantageous) Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and communicate complex ideas to senior leaders and cross-functional teams Confidence operating in ambiguity, balancing strategic thinking with practical delivery A genuine passion for serving diverse audiences, including First Nations and multicultural communities, and aligning work to SBS’s purpose As part of our recruitment process, SBS may review information that is publicly available online, including social media profiles, in line with privacy and anti-discrimination laws.
