What We’re Looking For: We are looking for a suitable candidate to join the Digital Operations Branch who are responsible for ensuring continuity of IT Services for Icon Water. The Branch is also responsible for on-going IT operations in IT Technology Landscape. Implement and maintain ITIL based service management practices within Icon Water to Support and enhance IT systems. About this role: This role is responsible for leading the applications development team towards execution of prioritised application enhancements. You will also have responsibility for delivery of minor enhancements (Small Developments) in the applications area by leading the development team in the design, development, coding, testing and debugging of applications. Responsibilities of this role: To be successful in this role you will also be required to: Liaise with the Applications Support Lead on a daily basis to make sure that support enhancements and support requests are effectively addressed. Assist the Applications Support team in resolving any critical incidents if requested. Strong communication skills to translate the ideas of business stakeholders into technical requirements that the development team understands and implements. Develop functional specification documents (design documents) based on business requirements. Act as Technical Mentor and advisor to provide feedback and suggestions for process /product improvements. Act as the main interface to business for development matters concerning the applications. Capture and analyse new business requirements for functional change. Design, build, test and implement customisations and extensions to the asset systems. Updates processes, technical documentation and training materials to reflect changes and enhancements. Maintain communication with the business users relating to changes in the asset systems. Plan, execute and support minor & major application and middleware upgrades, including testing and deployment of upgrades through the lower environments and into production. Prioritise works aligned to team objective and outcomes. Who we are looking for : We’re seeking a dedicated individual who has a Tertiary Degree in Information Technology or relevant discipline and Certifications or Technical Skills in ITIL, Cloud (AWS/Azure). You should also have the following: Experience in Microsoft365 Applications, Power platform and Dynamics365 Demonstrated technical background combined with customer service experience Experience in agile project delivery teams and Devops practices (highly desirable) Experience working in a Utility or similar asset intensive organisation (highly desirable) Ability and willingness to learn on Icon Water SaaS based applications. Working knowledge of SQL language (desirable) Problem-solving attitude with an ability to motivate team members to achieve service management goals and objectives Ability to learn new technologies and expand breadth of knowledge in organisational applications portfolio as per the need of project priorities Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to lead and manage a team of technical experts To find out more about the role you can view the detailed Position Description on the Icon Water Careers Portal .
