ABOUT YOU As a Family/Commercial Lawyer in their thriving boutique firm, you will rapidly gain experience in all facets of a diverse range of cases. The successful candidate will be: A motivated Family Lawyer (2 to 5 years PAE) who is passionate about working in an environment of a New Law firm which is progressive in its model; Some general disputes/ commercial litigation experience is ideal; Proactive and able to show initiative to set strategy and achieve successful delivery of tasks to completion; Organised, efficient and self-sufficient; A collaborative and supportive team member in their small close-knit team environment, who can work closely with the Partner on predominantly Family Law matters but also be able to assist with Wills and Estates, Employment and General Commercial Litigation working with other partners of the firm; Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic practice; and Keen to develop a long-term, mutually beneficial working relationship with the firm. Responsibilities: Use initiative and experience to manage a diverse caseload; Embrace the firms core pillar of ‘Expert’ to provide expert legal advice and guidance to clients; Demonstrate a client focused approach with superior time management and organisational skills in order to manage competing deadlines and demands; Represent clients in court hearings, mediations and final trials; Briefing and liaising with counsel; Stay updated on changes in statutes, regulations, and precedents; Consistently reach achievable targets in key performance indicators; and Provide empathetic service to build and maintain strong client relationships. WHAT WILL SUPPORT YOUR SUCCESS 2 to 5 years Post Admission Experience; Juris Doctor (J.D.) or Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from an accredited law school; An active practicing certificate in Victoria; Outstanding written, drafting, verbal communication, negotiation skills and ability to manage legal matters with autonomy; Thorough knowledge of legal principles and court processes; Strong analytical, research and problem‑solving abilities; and Self-motivated and reliable with a strong work ethic.
