Your Role at St John of God Healthcare Begin your career with SJG Healthcare, we are currently looking for Resident Medical Officers at Midland, Murdoch and Subiaco for an August 2026 start. You will join us as a Year 1–3 RMO seeking to broaden your clinical experience across one of our sites. You’ll gain exposure to a diverse range of clinical presentations suited to your stage of training, while learning from some of Perth’s leading medical and surgical specialists. The role is ideally offered as a full‑time, fixed‑term contract. We provide a four‑term training year to ensure RMOs have the opportunity to develop more extensive experience within each department. Semester‑based rotations in Emergency Medicine and General Medicine are also available. The Position Provides supervised clinical care to patients admitted to or under the supervision of the Consultant registered Medical Practitioner. Contributes to all aspects of patient care including daily ward rounds, routine clinical and administrative tasks and the admission of new team patients. Works with a variety of medical, nursing and allied health practitioners in a multi-disciplinary care environment. Actively participates in ongoing professional development programs. Undertakes all reasonable duties and rosters as allocated by the Director of Medical Services, Director of Clinical Teaching and relevant Physicians. Actively participates in performance reporting and career development processes as facilitated by the Director of Clinical Teaching. Attends relevant training sessions offered by SJGHC. Recognises the necessity to continually develop skills and acquire additional knowledge appropriate to the position You will be eligible for registration as a medical practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) and will have completed a minimum of two years of postgraduate training. Candidates who already hold current Australian registration, or who are eligible for provisional registration, will be highly regarded. We can offer you Salary: $99,395 - $119,165 per annum, plus 12% superannuation Professional development allowance $6,503 pro rata per Annum if part time JMO support payment of $4,000 per annum pro rata if part time if part time. (T&Cs available in SJGHC AMA agreement) A full-time fixed term position contracts of 12 or 24 months.
