Why This Role Matters As our Global Tax Advisor, you’ll be the backbone of tax governance across Hansen’s worldwide footprint—partnering with the Global Tax Director, CFO and Global Finance Director to ensure accurate, on‑time compliance and insightful tax accounting that supports confident decision‑making and ASX reporting. Your work safeguards our license to operate, unlocks investment capacity, and helps a global software leader move faster with rigour. What You’ll Do Quarterly tax effect accounting : Prepare corporate income tax calculations (including tax effect accounting) for all group entities each quarter. Half‑year & full‑year close : Lead the tax workstream with corporate/regional teams and external auditors to deliver the tax elements of ASX reporting. Global compliance leadership : Coordinate preparation and submission of income tax returns across all jurisdictions where Hansen operates. R&D incentives : Collate data, prepare and lodge R&D Tax Concession claims in relevant jurisdictions. Transfer pricing : Maintain documentation fully aligned to the Group’s Transfer Pricing Policy. Trusted advisor : Support the global finance team with ad‑hoc direct and indirect tax queries; manage external tax advisers and partners. Raise the bar : Build tax capability across the global finance team through training, mentoring and robust review processes. Governance & risk : Monitor legislative changes, maintain policies and frameworks, and ensure requirements in the Tax Governance framework are met. What You Bring CA/CPA (or post‑grad tax/finance) with demonstrable tax accounting/compliance experience in Big 4 (Top 10 will also be considered) and/or multinational environments. Strong tax effect accounting across business‑as‑usual and M&A activities. Exposure to international taxation , including transfer pricing , software licensing and withholding tax . Excellent organization and stakeholder communication skills—able to translate complex tax concepts for non‑specialists. Nice to have : Hands‑on experience with direct/indirect tax software , and familiarity with Australian public company environments in global software.
