Position: Measuring Technician Employer: Montaze Broz Pty Ltd Tenure: Full Time Permanent Location: Tarneit, Melbourne Salary: Dependant on experience Travel: Yes (project-based) Montaze Broz Pty Ltd is a leader in the installation of technologically advanced warehouse racking system solutions. We are seeking a capable Measuring Technician to support dimensional control and quality compliance on site, ensuring works are delivered to prescribed internal procedures and FEM tolerances. The role You will work closely with the Site Supervisor and project team to complete accurate site measurements, verify installation tolerances, and maintain measurement records and checklists in line with project methodology and FEM standards. Key duties and responsibilities · Daily recording of measurements and completed section checklists · Coordinate the correct measuring equipment with the Project Manager before and throughout the project · Adhere to predefined company standards, project methodology, internal procedures and FEM standards · Lead and evaluate Junior Measuring Technicians · Delegate work of installers as required to enable measurement activities · Take responsibility for assigned work tools and measuring equipment · Learn assembly sequences for the assigned project · Support the Site Supervisor to maintain site order and WHS compliance · Report non-standard situations and propose improvement measures · Set-out and as-built verification including gridlines, levels, and plumb/alignment checks · Use surveying/measurement instruments (e.g., total station, laser level, digital measurement tools, data capture) · Produce as-built / dimensional control reports and maintain survey and measurement records Skills and competencies · Proficiency with drawings, tolerances, construction methods, materials, and operating equipment/machinery · Strong communication and teamwork skills · Commitment to WHS compliance and safe work practices · Practical problem-solving ability with a focus on quality, safety and functionality · Motivation and punctuality Qualifications and experience · Minimum 2 years previous surveying experience in the construction industry · Diploma or bachelor’s degree in surveying or civil engineering or similar · Full driving licence; HRW licences preferred · Working at Heights, scissor lift and forklift tickets highly desirable
