About the Role Feedwell is one of Australia's fastest-growing corporate catering companies. We supply fresh food daily to Google, Amazon, Canva, Louis Vuitton and dozens of other major brands, and we're hiring constantly to keep up. We need an internal recruiter to screen and interview candidates across our kitchen and operations team: Catering Assistants, delivery drivers, sous chefs, kitchen managers, production supervisors, frontline and leadership roles. Catering Assistants are the highest-volume focus, with chefs and supervisors included from day one. This is a part-time, office-based role in Sydney CBD. 25-32 hours per week, Monday to Friday. 4-6 month contract with genuine potential to become permanent. You'll work directly alongside our Head of People & Culture every day, one-on-one, not in a team of ten. You'll learn Performance-Based Hiring, a structured, evidence-based methodology focused on probing for specifics and assessing evidence consistently. What You'll Actually Do Review applications and identify candidates worth progressing, not by scanning CVs for keywords, but by looking for evidence of achievement. Conduct phone screens that go beyond surface answers. You'll probe for what someone actually did, not just what they claim. Source and reach out to passive candidates who aren't actively applying but would be strong fits. Build a short-list of semi-finalists your hiring managers can trust. When you progress someone, they need to be a genuine contender, not just someone who sounded good on the phone. No cold-calling targets. No billing pressure. No split desks. The pace is high, but the challenge comes from quality standards, not sales metrics. Who This Role Suits You understand that the difference between a good hire and a bad one comes down to what you ask, not what's on the CV. You might have a couple of years in recruitment, or you might come from a people-facing role where you developed an instinct for reading whether someone's the real deal. What matters most: you're warm on the phone, you ask the question behind the question, and you can like someone and still say no if the evidence isn't there. You'll receive real-time coaching throughout the day, sometimes mid-call. If that sounds uncomfortable rather than exciting, this isn't the right fit. Learning and refining your skills in this is essential. And if candidate number 25 doesn't get the same attention as candidate number 1, this isn't the right fit either. What Makes This Different from Agency Work You're in-house. One client. One team. You're building something, not filling a pipeline and moving on. Daily one-on-one mentorship from the Head of People & Culture. Not a group academy, not a self-paced module, direct coaching on real candidates, in real time. So you'll need to be comfortable with being coached. Performance-Based Hiring is a structured methodology with a genuine evidence base. You'll be trained to probe for specifics and assess evidence consistently, it's how you'll work from day one. What You'll Get Beyond the Pay Learn an effective methodology that changes how you evaluate talent. Direct mentorship that accelerates your career. Exposure to hiring across every level, from entry-level Catering Assistants through to senior kitchen leadership. You'll help refine our screening tools, scripts, and templates based on patterns you observe. And a genuine path to permanent if the fit is right. The pay is competitive. We'll match it to your skills and experience, and you won't be disappointed. How to Apply Click 'Apply Now' below.
