Description About the role – Full-time, 12-month fixed term contract We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Analysis Domain Lead to join Transformation Program & Delivery. Our team of Business Analysts are at the forefront of shaping the creation of a new bank by working on exciting and complex projects. As a leader embedded within a program, you will "dual-hat" as both an expert business analysis practitioner and a people leader, driving BA capability uplift and shaping the culture of our delivery teams as we create a new bank. The Business Analysis Domain Lead is a pivotal role designed to drive high-impact change by partnering with Program Leadership to deliver business value with quality, pace, and flow. You will lead a team of Business Analysts, ensuring they are aligned to value outcomes while personally managing end-to-end requirements for critical initiatives. This role is at the heart of our "People First" culture -focusing on coaching, engagement, and the strategic optimization of BA resources to meet delivery demand. Key responsibilities include: Lead end-to-end business analysis across the project lifecycle – Elicit, analyse and document requirements; facilitate engaging process workshops; create user stories, use cases and storyboards; and support design, build, test and deployment to ensure solutions truly meet business needs. People Leadership & Engagement – Actively develop direct reports through coaching and performance management. You will drive employee engagement scores by fostering a supportive BA community and role-modelling per bank’s values. Strategic Delivery & Value Alignment – Drive the delivery of critical initiatives according to program roadmaps. Partner with Value Stream Owners and Tech Leads to ensure BA activities maximize customer value and align with strategic objectives. Stakeholder & Risk Management – Strengthen alignment between Chapter, Program, and Value Stream stakeholders. Own and manage risk within appetite, ensuring controls support business objectives and coaching teams to uplift risk behaviors. Capacity & Resource Optimization – Take ownership of accurate resource forecasting across the program. Optimise resource allocation and ensure efficient use of team capability to meet fluctuating delivery demands. Capability Uplift & Continuous Improvement – Embed BA chapter standards and tooling. Lead the adoption of new ways of working and drive value-driven improvements that raise overall program performance and professional development standards. You will succeed in this role with: Proven experience (10 years) as a Business Analyst within Finance, IT or complex enterprise environments, with strong exposure to both Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and confidently partner with senior leaders, sponsors and technical teams. Strong balance of business acumen and technical capability, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-friendly language. Demonstrated expertise in requirements elicitation, user story creation, traceability, verification and validation across the full project lifecycle. Proven ability to mentor and support Business Analysts, contributing to capability uplift and fostering a high-performing BA community. Degree qualified with ECBA (or higher) certification through IIBA (or equivalent), and confident using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio and MS Office suite.
