Opportunity for an enthusiastic Junior Maintenance Coordinator to join our dynamic team supporting critical maintenance activities at the Garden Island Defence Precinct. About the Role: As a Junior Maintenance Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting maintenance periods, ensuring safety, cost, schedule, and quality adherence. Working within a collaborative environment and reporting to the Senior Work Package Manager and assigned Maintenance Project Manager, you will be coached and mentored as you grow into a Maintenance Delivery professional. Key Responsibilities: Assist with the management of work packages for maintenance activities and projects. Work closely with stakeholders to ensure project objectives relating to safety, cost, schedule, and quality are met. Assist with the operational control of projects, client relationships, trade supervisors, subcontractors, materials, financial aspects, and contract performance. Coordinate, monitor, and liaise with supervisors and subcontractors for timely and quality completion of work. Report regularly on progress and provide updates to project managers and stakeholders. Review schedules, costs, and project reports, taking corrective action as needed. Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with technical and quality standards. Generate and verify Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) and associated documentation. Facilitate trials, address defects, and provide timely reporting and feedback. You will receive substantial support from senior project team members as you develop your skills and knowledge in this entry-level, growth-focused role! About You: A formal qualification in Engineering, Project Management, or trade/engineering training with some relevant industry experience. Demonstrated understanding of safety leadership in an industrial setting. Some exposure to engineering or manufacturing administration. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Well-developed interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills. Desirable: Knowledge of financial and purchasing processes. Experience in quality environments and working with production work packages.
