About the Opportunity We’re seeking expressions of interest from Mid-Level Quantitative Traders based in Sydney, as part of the continued growth of one of our successful Trading teams. The focus of this opportunity is on supporting live trading activity while also contributing to the research, development, and enhancement of algorithmic trading strategies. You’ll work closely with experienced traders, researchers, and developers, gaining exposure across the full trading lifecycle; from idea generation and analysis through to implementation and live execution. This is a hands-on environment with meaningful responsibility and the opportunity to make a real impact. Your Mission at Life Trading Trading Support live trading operations and assist with the execution of existing strategies. Contribute to trading decision-making and ongoing strategy refinement. Assist with trade reconciliation and operational processes. Monitor trading activity and systems, helping to identify and resolve issues. Support risk management and control processes across the trading function. Identify opportunities to automate recurring tasks and improve workflows. Assist with research and backtesting of quantitative trading ideas. Develop and analyse signals using Python & contribute to internal strategy development. Ability to collaborate closely with operations, and technology teams. What We’re Looking For Experience in a quantitative trading role. Strong Python skills for research, analysis, and strategy development. Experience working with systematic or algorithmic trading systems. Solid understanding of risk management and trading controls. Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Bonus Points For ✅ Experience working in small and/or cross-functional trading teams. Exposure to end-to-end strategy development lifecycles. Strong C++ skills or experience working alongside low-latency systems. Experience collaborating closely with technology and infrastructure teams.
