McArthur is seeking an Executive Assistant and Civics Coordinator, to provide administrative services and the coordination of Civic events in the Office of the Lord Mayor. This is a great temporary opportunity for 3-months, with a high possibility of extension! The office is in a fantastic location walking distance from the Dock, offers full time hours, immediately available and has a casual rate of $45.34 per hour Superannuation. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate Lord Mayor's complex schedule, including arranging meetings, briefings, site visits, accepting invitations, and scheduling Council engagements. Prepare simple correspondence, agendas, meeting notes, PowerPoint presentations, and other documents. Follow protocols when they represent the Lord Mayor. Oversee events like the ANZAC Day ceremony, and various receptions and functions. Handle all travel logistics for the Lord Mayor Selection Criteria: Certificate IV or Diploma in Business Management, Public Sector Administration or similar. Demonstrated ability and experience in the delivery of quality administrative support to a range of stakeholders. High proficiency in the use of word processing and formatting, spreadsheets, website content management systems and database applications with demonstrated attention to detail. Ability to plan, adapt and recognise changing priorities in a high-volume work environment, producing accurate work under pressure. An understanding of the operation of local government and the capacity to work in a political environment. Well organised, with an ability to work under pressure and to manage a number of activities simultaneously. Ability to work within the scope of the level and cooperatively within a team environment. Ability to self-reflect and demonstrate organisational value and behavioral standards.
