Position overview Employment Type: Full time (80 hours per fortnight) with a monthly ADO, Fixed term position until November 2026 Location: Warrnambool Campus Classification: Physiotherapist Grade 4 Salary Range: $126,079.20 - $138,928.40 pro rata, plus superannuation About the role An exciting leadership opportunity is now available for an experienced and motivated Physiotherapist to lead our Physiotherapy department at South West Healthcare. As the Manager of Physiotherapy, you will provide strategic, operational and clinical leadership across both inpatient and community settings. You will oversee a vibrant and highly skilled team comprising 23 Physiotherapists, 9 Allied Health Assistants and 2 Exercise Physiologists, working collaboratively within an integrated multidisciplinary environment to deliver high‑quality care. In this pivotal role, you will drive service development, support staff growth, and contribute to innovative models of care that strengthen our services and community impact. What you bring Bachelor of Physiotherapy or equivalent, with AHPRA registration. A relevant post graduate management qualification is desirable but not essential. Minimum of five years post-graduate clinical experience, including experience in a healthcare setting. Previous experience working in a rural and regional healthcare setting would be advantageous. Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary evidence-based Physiotherapy practice. Proven ability to lead and oversee high-performing clinical teams and provide expert judgment and advice on clinical issues. Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the principles of patient focused care and patient feedback to achieve excellence in clinical care. Proven ability to promote open communication and constructively manage conflict which may arise within and across healthcare teams. Proven ability to establish clear inter-professional team goals and expectations, and to build staff ownership for achievement of results. Demonstrated experience in developing a learning culture and promoting clinical supervision as a part of core business.
