About the Role We are seeking a reliable and safety‑focused Forklift Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material‑handling equipment to move, load, and unload goods efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, and a commitment to workplace safety. Key Responsibilities Operate forklifts (counterbalance, high‑reach, or other types depending on site requirements) to move materials around the facility. Load and unload trucks, pallets, containers, and storage areas. Conduct pre‑start inspections and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns. Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch when required. Maintain accurate inventory records and follow proper documentation processes. Follow all workplace health and safety procedures, including safe load handling and traffic management. Keep work areas clean, organised, and hazard‑free. Work collaboratively with warehouse staff, supervisors, and delivery drivers. Skills & Experience Valid forklift licence (LF and/or LO). Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment. Strong understanding of safe work practices and load‑handling procedures. Ability to lift up to 20–25kg as required. Basic data entry skills for logging stock movements and completing dispatch paperwork. Familiarity with handheld scanners, RF devices, or tablet‑based stock systems. Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions. Basic computer or scanner skills (beneficial).
