ARKA is seeking talented and experienced ICT Computer Network and Systems Engineer on full-time basis to join the team. About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Engineer / Developer (Guidewire Specialist) to join our growing technology team. This role offers the opportunity to design and deliver scalable, high-performance software solutions in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Employment type: Full-time Location: Sydney, NSW Salary range: $90,000 - $110,000 per annum (depending upon skills and experience) Number of positions available: 2 - 3 Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and enhance Guidewire applications across PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter. Assist in solution planning, liaising with architects, product teams, and business stakeholders to gather and refine requirements. Provide technical guidance to ensure solutions follow Guidewire framework best practices. Analyse system requirements and contribute to High-Level and Low-Level Design (HLD & LLD) documentation. Build integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and support third-party system interactions. Develop and execute unit and integration tests, support deployments across non-production and production environments. Enhance CI/CD processes to improve code quality, reduce defect resolution time, and optimize delivery cycles. Follow Agile development methodologies and SDLC best practices. Conform to secure coding principles, quality assurance standards, and agreed development processes. Support high-availability production systems, troubleshoot performance issues, and monitor batch jobs. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers. Work with Oracle databases, Tomcat Server, and relevant operating system tools/utilities. Apply Guidewire best practices including product model design, extension strategy, and configuration vs customization decisions. Support Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP) principles where applicable. Qualification & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. 3 - 8 years of relevant experience in software development (Guidewire experience preferred) Exposure to Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP) is desirable. Strong experience with Guidewire v10 (PolicyCenter) experience with BillingCenter or ClaimCenter considered, with willingness to learn Hands-on experience with Java, Spring/Spring Boot, Gosu, and Web Services (REST/SOAP). Experience in Guidewire integrations with digital channels, data platforms, finance/CRM systems, and external partner systems. Strong knowledge of databases (Oracle/SQL) and related ORM/JDBC tools.
