The key duties of the position include Your Duties and Responsibilities Conduct routine safety inspections, investigations, monitoring and analysis of work practices and work areas. Assist in maintaining the currency of permits, authorisations and registrations for research activities including poisons permit, carcinogens authorisations, equipment and laboratory registrations as required. Participate in internal and external audits in maintaining certification of the WHS-MS to ISO 45001. Serve as the WHS specialist and advisor on the correct transportation, handling, usage, storage and disposal of hazardous chemicals, poisons, carcinogens, genetically modified organisms (GMO) and biological hazards.
