Due to the growth of our operation, Lynas Rare Earths has several newly created supervisor opportunities for experienced Processing Supervisors at our new Kalgoorlie Rare Earth Processing Facility (REPF). The Kalgoorlie REPF is a key strategic platform for critical mineral production, blending pyrometallurgical and hydrometallurgical process in an Australian first, rare earth mineral processing plant. The Opportunity: This is a rare opportunity for safety driven Processing Supervisors wanting to join us on our journey. The successful applicants will have the opportunity to have major input into leading and motivating their Production workforce to help achieve our production targets in a safe, sustainable and positive way. These supervisor positions are offered on a FIFO arrangement. Initially working Monday to Friday during a brief orientation and familiarisation period, the new team member will then transition to the even-time 7 / 7 rotating roster of day and night shift for their allocated crew. The successful applicants will be responsible for: Appointed Statutory position of Processing Plant Supervisor The day-to-day management of the processing plant with a team of process technicians as direct reports Ensuring a safe working environment is maintained and that the plant is run to Lynas’s standards Identifying and implementing safety and production improvements Completing suitable investigations into any incidents that occur Ensuring operational readiness of the plant from a production and operating perspective Planning, training and diversification of skills for your crew Develop, implement and maintain fit for purpose operating procedures and strategies Take ownership of plant performance and achieve targets Providing support, guidance, mentoring, performance management and direction to your team. Required skills and experience: Unwavering approach to safety leadership Ability to build relationships with key stake holders, such as maintenance, technical and environment personnel to ensure compliant optimum plant performance Experience in an operational processing plant environment, leading operating teams Experience in Lithium or base metals processing, cracking and leaching, filter press technology is desirable Control room, Isolation, and/or Permit to Work operational experience Prior experience with the operation of heavy mobile machinery (forklifts, telehandler, loaders, skid steer, overhead gantry crane) Strong time management and problem-solving skills Solid soft skills across the Microsoft Suite of software Schedule 26 (of WHS Mines Regs) Statutory Supervisor Exam achievement, or exam in progress to be completed before 30 March 2026. Completion of WHS units of competency to hold a statutory position Relevant High Risk Work License Minimum WA unencumbered C class drivers’ license, HR licence desirable Why join us?
