About the role As our Financial Accountant, you’ll be a key member of the Finance team reporting to the Principal Financial Accountant. You’ll be responsible for accurate financial reporting, compliance, and analysis to support business decision-making across the WA operations. This is a fixed term 1 year contract to cover Maternity Leave. Key Responsibilities • Monthly consolidated reports – Balance Sheet, P&L, Cashflow to the parent • company and SLT, and responding to adhoc requests for information • Financial Statements analysis and commentaries • Monthly and Quarterly review of AUC, working with project managers to • review and identify assets • Prepayment account review and journals • Gold Sales Journals and administration of gold shipment documents • Tenement reporting and assist in the preparation of Form 5s • Balance Sheet Reconciliations review • Maintain general ledger integrity, reconciliations and month-end close processes. • Assist with statutory reporting, tax obligations and audit processes. • Ensure compliance with internal policies, external standards and regulatory requirements. • Assist with external and internal audits • Assist Principal Financial Accountant with the accounting for exploration and evaluation, mine development, and rehabilitation provision • Assist in ATO and other government authority’s compliance such as preparation of BAS, FBT, payroll tax, fuel tax rebate, withholding tax, royalties for the group • Assist in the maintenance of the Master Chart of Accounts and project hierarchy to meet business needs • Assist in the development of accounting policies, procedures, systems, and processes to meet statutory and internal control requirements About You • Tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance (CA/CPA preferred). • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in financial accounting — experience in mining/resources highly regarded. • Strong technical skills in accounting standards and financial reporting. • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills. Preferable SAP Fiori (latest version) • Excellent communication, teamwork and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
