The key duties of the position include The Role This is a challenging and rewarding role that offers a variety of work and skills development, including Ministerial correspondence, media enquiries and providing advice on complex administrative issues. The Executive Officer (EO) requires strong communication skills to liaise with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. You will work directly with the Executive Assistant and Assistant Secretary Estate Planning (ASEP) to ensure routine coordination and administration of the Branch's Executive Meetings and ASEP's attendance at a variety of internal and external committees. The EO is responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient administrative workflows to and from the Office of ASEP, including task management and the coordination of Ministerial correspondence and media enquiries as well as helping manage ASEP's diary and appointments and a broad range of support activities. About our Team Estate Planning Branch is responsible for preparing the Defence estate for the future. The Branch provides a critical role in how the Defence estate is shaped to achieve Government's strategic requirements and to enhance Defence capability. Estate Planning works closely with key stakeholders across all Defence groups and services to understand strategic drivers and capability requirements and to examine suitable solutions for both on and off-estate outcomes. Estate Planning provides critical outputs to guide decisions on the future disposition of facilities and infrastructure, ensuring a strategically aligned, sustainable and affordable estate that supports Defence capability. Experience with Objective records management, SharePoint Collaborative and the Parliamentary Document Management System (PDMS). Experience in an Executive Officer or similar function is highly desirable but not essential.
