What you’ll do We are looking for a Permit-Isolation Officer to join our project team in Perth - this is a FIFO role on a 2 week on; 1 week off roster. The role responsibilities include: This role supports the commissioning scope by the timely preparation and coordination of Permits of Isolation and Boundary Isolations in accordance with Project procedures and client work practices. Interpret procedures, drawings and established work practices. Comply with permit teams HSE performance KPI’s. Clearly communicate all permitting requirements and practices and ensure all permits are in place are coherent and clearly aligned with work requirements. Support Personal Isolation officer training and appointment, carry out regular field inspections of work areas to ensure correct isolations are in place, look ahead and prepare and implement all permitting and isolation plans for shutdown and daily work activities. Audit all electrical and mechanical isolations to ensure compliance with statutory requirements. The ideal candidate will be able to develop and maintain working relationships with all contractor HSE and supervision. Hazard identification and hazard mitigation management. You will be in direct contacts with Commissioning Superintendents, Commissioning assistance resources and vendors, Discipline Commissioning Supervisors and Construction Supervisors as well as Contractors HSE Teams, Supervisors and trades. What you’ll have Trade Qualified, WA Electrician’s licence preferred. Relevant years of experience in a similar Permit officer role. Proven history of experience performing isolations and permitting within the Mining Industry. RTIO advantageous. Previous experience within an Iron Ore Fixed Plant environment is advantageous. Understands the requirements and has a working knowledge the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022. Ability to work in a dynamic construction and commissioning environment. Strong attention to detail with a focus on ensuring the safety of all personnel working under isolations and permits. Instil a positive level of confidence with all working team members.
