About the Role As a Compliance Officer within the Group Risk & Compliance division, you’ll support the delivery of MUFG Retirement Solutions’ compliance obligations and risk agenda. Reporting to the Head of Compliance, you’ll work closely with Compliance Managers and key business stakeholders to ensure our frameworks, processes, and advice enable the business to operate confidently within MUFG’s risk appetite. You’ll play a critical role in the uplift of compliance capabilities across MUFG RS, supporting regulatory change, governance, monitoring, and the continuous enhancement of compliance systems and processes. What You’ll Do • Maintain, review and enhance compliance frameworks, policies and procedures • Monitor regulatory changes, assess impacts, and support the regulatory change program • Manage compliance obligations registers and contribute to assurance activities • Provide clear, practical compliance interpretation and advice to stakeholders • Conduct compliance monitoring, thematic reviews, and oversight activities • Prepare reporting, agendas and minutes for compliance and governance committees • Develop and deliver compliance communications, updates and training • Support risk and compliance uplift initiatives within the MUFG R&C Strengthening Program What You’ll Bring • Tertiary qualifications in business, law, commerce, policy or similar, or 3 years’ relevant experience • Understanding of (or ability to quickly learn) superannuation, payments, technology and regulatory reporting environments • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated experience preparing tailored stakeholder communications • Experience analysing legislative, system or process changes and their business impact • Familiarity with risk and compliance frameworks and supporting systems • Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels • Experience interpreting and communicating regulatory obligations in superannuation or financial services (highly regarded) • Project experience and strong attention to detail • Ability to work independently and take ownership of issues and opportunities • RG146 Superannuation (advantageous) Some of our Employment Benefits • Flexible Working – hybrid model enabling our employees to work in the office and at home • Purchased Leave, Parental Leave, Volunteer Leave, Gender transition leave, Well-being leave • Employee Recognition Program • Talent Referral Program • Salary Sacrificing via Superannuation • Employee Assistance Program • Learning & Development – self-paced learning and educational assistance support • Employee discounts – including Bupa and Microsoft • Novated Car Leasing Culture at MUFG Pension & Market Services We are an inclusive employer whose people work collaboratively.
