About The Team The School of Veterinary Medicine delivers an internationally accredited veterinary science program with a strong focus on developing students’ core clinical competencies through training in our hospital, clinics, and clinical services. Animal Welfare science and ethics is a key discipline within the School, contributing both to teaching and research that informs evidence-based decision-making and industry policy. Your New Role! An Associate Professor is expected to develop scholarly research and professional expertise within their discipline, demonstrating a strong record of academic excellence and nationally or internationally impactful research. They make significant contributions to postgraduate supervision and take on leadership roles in University administration. The role also requires strong engagement with industry and external stakeholders to support the Discipline and the University. In addition, an Associate Professor contributes substantially to teaching across the Discipline, as well as to the broader College and profession. Your key responsibilities will include – Lead impactful national and international research and supervise Honours, Masters, HDR and postgraduate students Deliver high-quality teaching across all formats while innovating in pedagogy and leading curriculum and program development Provide academic leadership, build industry partnerships, and contribute to the School, University and professional service duties Please refer to the Position Description for further details.
