An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Project Officer (Grade 7/8) to support the delivery of strategic projects within a large NSW Government division. This role is ideal for a driven and capable project professional who thrives in structured environments and enjoys delivering high-quality outcomes across planning, governance, and operational initiatives. About the Role: As Project Officer, you will perform project management and support activities to contribute to the development and delivery of a range of projects aligned to established objectives. You will play a key role in coordinating resources, maintaining documentation, monitoring milestones, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Prepare project reports, briefs and documentation Coordinate resources and support implementation of project plans Monitor project milestones, deliverables and timelines Source, collate and analyse data to identify emerging issues Undertake research and prepare project briefs to inform decision-making Identify and manage project risks and develop mitigation strategies Facilitate stakeholder meetings, working groups and consultations Track and report on project progress Prepare professional documentation using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project About You To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: Proven experience in project support or project management (Government experience highly regarded) Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills Ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines Sound analytical and problem-solving capability Experience preparing professional reports and briefs Strong organisational and documentation skills Confidence working within structured governance frameworks You will be self-motivated, accountable, and committed to delivering quality outcomes in a collaborative team environment.
