About the Role This temporary Finance Officer role provides hands on financial support across core finance functions within a complex, multi stream business. The position requires a capable and experienced finance professional who can operate with a high level of autonomy, manage priorities effectively, and deliver accurate and timely financial information to support decision making. Your Responsibilities The role is responsible for completing bank, creditor and debtor reconciliations and supporting month end close activities. You will prepare and lodge BAS and Payroll Tax returns, assist with weekly cashflow forecasting and monitoring, and maintain accurate financial records within MYOB. The position also supports budget tracking, prepares financial reports for management, and collates documentation for external accountants and auditors. You will identify financial risks, provide insights to support financial performance, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and relevant legislation. About You This role will suit someone who is detail oriented, methodical and reliable. You are comfortable working independently, able to prioritise competing deadlines, and confident working within a dynamic environment. You bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, communicate clearly in writing and verbally, and take a professional, proactive approach to your work. Skills and Experience Required You will hold a Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting or Bookkeeping and bring a minimum of five years’ experience in a hands-on finance or accounting role. Strong proficiency in MYOB is essential, and experience with CALXA will be highly regarded. Advanced Excel and general IT capability are required, along with proven experience in reconciliations, financial reporting and cashflow management.
