The Role Reporting to the Credit Manager residential Home Loans, you will work closely with team members. The key purpose for this role is to assess and decision credit applications according to current Australia guidelines. Key Responsibilities Include Credit assessment and approval within DLA Recommend and escalate loan applications to other DLA holders, if they are outside your authority Liaise with key client stakeholders as required, such as solicitors Prepare letters of offer / variations as required Maintain credit quality Support the manager with input on new deals and liaise with Business Development Managers Adhere to regulatory compliance requirements Process improvement About You Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the non-bank or Bank mortgage industry in Australia or New Zealand. Applicants with experience in assessing loans for "self employed" applicants will be looked upon favourably. To succeed in this role, you will have a sound knowledge of non-bank lending mortgage processing procedures, with an understanding of relevant consumer finance legislation. You will also be able to perform to a high standard with a large volume of tasks, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail, with enhanced negotiation and written and verbal communication skills. Successful candidates will be self-motivated and autonomous, with the ability to contribute to a team environment with superior customer service skills. DLA of over $750,000 is required.
