Use your skills as a security engineering working with Microsoft Purview, Mimecast and Network Security We’re seeking a hands-on Security Engineer to take technical ownership of enterprise security across infrastructure and cloud environments. This is an operationally focused role centred on strengthening, optimising and continuously improving existing systems. You will act as the internal security SME — leading from a technical perspective, guiding best practice across infrastructure, and reducing reliance on external consultants. What You’ll Be Doing Own and maintain enterprise security controls and configurations Conduct system reviews, checks and balances to ensure environments remain secure Review firewall rules and collaborate with Network Engineers to optimise and harden configurations Lead technical security initiatives end-to-end Mentor infrastructure team members and embed security best practice Contribute to internal policy and compliance uplift Technical Environment SIEM, EDR and Vulnerability Management Microsoft Purview (building compliance and data governance policies) CrowdStrike, Rapid7, Mimecast, Sophos Azure & Microsoft 365 security Active Directory / Identity & Access Management Network security (firewalls, VPNs, segmentation) OS hardening, patching and remediation Automation and scripting for security operations Familiarity with NIST, ISO 27001 or Essential Eight frameworks is desirable.
