Due to increased customer demand, they are looking to expand their current team. The role of Engineering Technologist is a highly visible position within the business. This role is to be performed with the highest level of integrity as you are directly representing the company’s good reputation. Responsibilities Maintain good record-keeping procedures. Ensure all tasks and urgent requirements are completed on time. Participate in training for ongoing technical development and internal procedures, in line with the company’s commitment to continuous improvement. Create and update engineering and production drawings, as well as technical documentation. Assist in designing and integrating electronics systems to meet customer requirements. Implement process improvements using sound engineering principles. Perform assembly tasks in production as required. Conduct product testing on manufactured items to maintain quality standards. Follow all company standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with procedure management. Perform internal audits to support ISO compliance. Collaborate with other teams to enhance production efficiency and achieve project objectives. Carry out other duties as assigned by the Managing Director. Authority Access Goldmine and Tencia databases. Access testing equipment and CAD software. Requirements High level of enthusiasm, maturity and professionalism in a team environment. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Electronics Engineering (AQF Level 7 or equivalent). Minimum 1–2 years of experience in electronics systems assembly and testing within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in soldering components, cable assembly, and electronic testing. Ability to interpret electronic schematics, mechanical drawings, production drawings and manufacturing instructions. Qualification in IPC standards for electronic manufacturing and testing. Good working knowledge of Design ‑ for ‑ Manufacturing (DFM) principles and techniques. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast ‑ paced, team ‑ oriented environment with strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
