The key duties of the position include The Role The Simulation Database Manager is responsible for the consistency, quality and performance of simulation data across Land Simulation & Wargaming (LS&W). This primarily involves the development and maintenance of simulation entities (models, order of battles (ORDATs), weapons, enumeration data, probability tables and parametric data), behaviours and terrain data, which underpins all virtual and constructive simulation platforms. The role requires significant liaison with internal and external stakeholders. The capability output is that all simulation data is standardised, in order to meet quality and performance needs. Please note: This position is based in HMAS Harman, but occasional travel to other simulation centres across the country is likely. About our Team LS&W is a cell within The Army Battle Lab and is responsible for the delivery of virtual and constructive simulation support to Army to enable Force Generation, Force Preparation and Force Modernisation. Simulation support is delivered at Army's seven Battle Simulation Sites (BSS) via the persistent Land Simulation Network (LSN), which enables local and distributed virtual, constructive and federated training activities.
